3 cups flour* (15 oz. by weight)
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
½ tsp. baking powder
1 cup (8 oz. by weight) lard or shortening
10 Tbsp. water (ice cold!) (5 oz. by weight)
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in the shortening, and then add water.
This will make 4 pie crusts**. They can be frozen. Roll into 4 equal size balls (Use a scale for Accuracy) and freeze if not going to use all at once.
* Note: Use the dip level pour method. This has averaged out to 5 oz./Cup in testing. So weigh for best accuracy.
** This Recipe will make 4 Pie Crusts weighing 7 oz. each.
